Who is the course for?
These courses are designed for professional drivers who hold a LGV licence, the courses will fulfil the Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) legal requirement for completion of 35 hours periodic training by 10 September 2014 (L.G.V). The courses will also be suitable to fulfil the requirement for a further 35 hours training in every subsequent 5 year period thereafter.

What will I need for the course?
You will need to ensure that you bring the original copy of your driving licence (photocopies are not acceptable) both the photocard and the paper counterpart being required. If you haven’t a photocard driving licence you must also bring your passport with you. You must also bring your course joining instructions to be viewed by the Instructor.
What happens if I fail the course?
You cannot fail; you are only required to attend for the whole of the course in order for the 7 hours to count towards your C.P.C periodic training commitment.
How is the training recorded?
Hermes registers your periodic training hours on the Department of Transport Database against your driving licence number, and you will be issued with a certificate of attendance for your own records. When you have completed the full 35 hours you will be issued with a Driver Qualifications Card (D.Q.C) directly by the Driving Standards Agency which you must then carry with you at all times when driving professionally. The D.Q.C can be checked at anytime by the Police, V.O.S.A and any enforcement authority in any E.U member state
