Hermes Driving School History
Hermes Driving School was launched in 2004, In the first instance to combat the driver shortage at the time and to upgrade our own Non-LGV drivers licences to LGV Cat C and C+E.
We ran a scheme where warehouse staff could train and pass the LGV Cat C and C+E.
This then enabled us to recruit from within for any new vacancies in our transport network .
The LGV training went from strength to strength and became renowned for high standards and quality training in our local area .
Unlike some training companies we are proud to display our pass rate and with an overall pass rate of 93%. since 2006 , with 82% of drivers passing the driving
test on their first attempt. This compares well with our local test centre average overall pass rate of 44%.
All Hermes Driving School instructors are experienced DSA registered LGV Driving Instructors.
We added courses and commenced Driver training packages for our 500 plus team of drivers Including Drivers hours , Tachograph , Digital Tachograph , Drivers CPC.
Hermes has been involved with local driving agency, Drivers Plus, assessing and grading all potential drivers employed prior to placement. This resulted in a 40% reduction in minor accidents from their drivers.
Hermes Driving School has attained the training centre accreditation to deliver the Drivers CPC commencing September 2009.
